What this tool does

The radian is the base. A turn is 2π radians. A degree is π/180. A gradian (gon) is π/200. Results use 12 significant digits so π does not vanish into 3.14.

How to use it

  1. Enter the angle.
  2. Pick source and destination units.
  3. Convert and copy the JSON.

Supported input

  • A number and two angle units from the menu

Output

  • JSON with the converted angle plus every other unit in the family

Privacy

This tool processes files and text locally in your browser. Your content is not uploaded or stored by this site.

ConvertPass does not include your input in analytics, URLs, or error reports. Encoding: Decimal numbers / SI radian. Limit: A single angle (4.0 KB).

Limitations

  • Solid angles in steradians are not offered.
  • This is not a wrap-to-360 helper. 370 degrees stays 370 degrees until you convert.
  • Survey bearings (N 12° E) are not parsed.

Example

Input
180 degrees → radians
Output
{
  "result": 3.14159265359,
  "formatted": "180 ° = 3.14159265359 rad"
}

Troubleshooting

π looks truncated
JSON uses 12 significant digits. Copy more digits from a CAS if you are proving an identity.

FAQ

How many degrees in a turn?

360. A turn is one full revolution.

What is a gradian?

A gon: 400 to a circle. Some surveying calculators still use it.

Are arcminutes sixtieths of a degree?

Yes. 60 arcseconds make an arcminute; 60 arcminutes make a degree.

Can I convert slope percent?

No. Percent grade is rise/run × 100, not an SI angle. Use atan yourself if you need degrees.
