AI image upscaler

Enlarge a small image in your browser, then compare with a before/after slider.

Loading the local upscaler…

What this tool does

Drop a small image, choose 2× or 4×, and ConvertPass enlarges it in this browser. Use the slider to compare the original with the result, then download a PNG if you want to keep it. The file is not uploaded. Closing the tab, hitting reset, or reloading the page discards it.

How to use it

  1. Drop one image within the pixel cap.
  2. Choose 2× or 4×. Upscaling starts only when you click Upscale.
  3. Drag the before/after slider, then download a PNG.

Supported input

  • A single raster image the browser can decode, within the upscaler pixel cap

Output

  • A PNG at 2× or 4× resolution

Privacy

This tool processes files and text locally in your browser. Your content is not uploaded or stored by this site.

ConvertPass does not include your input in analytics, URLs, or error reports. Encoding: Processed in this browser. Download is PNG.. Limit: 8 MB, 1280px long edge at 2×, 768px at 4× (8.00 MB).

Limitations

  • This is an in-browser upscaler, not a print-restoration studio. Fine text and faces can still look synthetic.
  • Phones and low-memory tabs may fail. Cancel, shrink the image, or use 2× on a desktop browser.
  • Transparency is flattened. Animated GIFs become a still frame. EXIF is dropped.
  • 2× accepts up to 1280px on the long edge; 4× accepts up to 768px.

Example

Input
thumb.jpg 640×400
Output
thumb-upscaled-2x.png 1280×800

Troubleshooting

The tab froze or ran out of memory
Cancel, close other tabs, use 2×, or shrink the long edge in the image resizer first.
4× is disabled
The long edge is above 768px. Resize down, or use 2× if the image is within 1280px.

FAQ

Do you send my photo to an AI API?

No. Upscaling runs in this browser. The image is not uploaded.

Why not a free cloud API?

A cloud upscaler would need the file to leave your device. ConvertPass keeps the work in this tab.

Is this as good as a desktop upscaler?

Desktop tools can go further on large files. This one is for small photos and UI captures that you do not want to upload.

Can I upscale a 4000-pixel photo?

Not in this tool. Use a desktop upscaler. ConvertPass will not silently upload a large file to someone else’s GPU.

Are results stored?

No. Blobs live in this tab until you download, reset, or reload. There is no database.
