What this tool does

PNG chunk strip rebuilds the file without tEXt, iTXt, zTXt, eXIf, and tIME. Canvas re-encode is the broader option and may change quality. Always re-open the result in the viewer.

How to use it

1. Drop the image.
2. Choose PNG strip when you need lossless pixels.
3. Confirm the viewer reports no generation metadata.

Privacy

This tool processes files and text locally in your browser. Your content is not uploaded or stored by this site.

ConvertPass does not include your input in analytics, URLs, or error reports. Encoding: PNG rebuild or canvas. Limit: 25 MB (25.00 MB).

Limitations

• Metadata can live in other containers we do not yet parse.
• Steganographic payloads in pixels are not detected or removed.

The viewer still finds parameters

You may have a JPEG with EXIF UserComment. Use canvas re-encode, then verify.

FAQ

Is stripping the same as anonymising the picture?

No. The pixels can still be distinctive. This tool only removes embedded metadata channels we know how to drop.

Does PNG strip re-encode pixels?

No. It copies remaining chunks, including IDAT, so pixel bytes stay the same.

Should I strip before uploading to a host?

If you do not want the host or later downloaders to read your prompt, yes.

Can I remove only the prompt and keep the workflow?

Not surgically in this version. It drops all listed text chunks.
